This private ski lesson for kids in Sierra Nevada is designed for children from age 5, with a certified instructor who stays with the group throughout the session.
Being a private lesson, it's just for your group of 1 to 6 people, and the pace can be adjusted to what each child needs, whether they're getting on skis for the first time or already have experience and want to keep improving. What format is best for my child?
Age, previous experience and each child's independence all affect which format fits best. When a child is starting from scratch or needs a lot of attention, a very small group lets the instructor focus almost entirely on them; as they gain independence and experience, a slightly larger group can work just as well. Levels
It's your child's first time on skis. They'll learn the basics: getting used to the equipment, balance, gliding and their first wedge turns to stop, always at a progressive and safe pace.
They can already stop and turn in a wedge. At this level we work on controlling speed and line, improving the safety and smoothness of their turns.
They've got wedge turns under control and are ready to move toward parallel skiing. We work on the transition from wedge to parallel and on refining technique for smoother, more controlled turns.
They already ski in parallel and want to keep improving. We work on technical refinement, turn control, fluidity and adapting technique to different skiing situations.
